Cost Share vs. Licensing

Which Option is Right for Your Interior Design Photos with Rae Scott Photography?

When it comes to interior design photography with Rae Scott Photography, you have two main ways to handle image licensing and payment: Cost Share and Licensing. Both options offer flexibility, depending on how many images you need and how you plan to use them. Here’s a quick guide to help you decide which one works best for you!

Cost Share

The Cost Share option is perfect if multiple parties need full access to all of the images from an interior design shoot. Both parties share the shoot cost and get equal access to the photos taken by Rae Scott Photography.

  • Interior Design Shoots Only: Available exclusively for interior design sessions with Rae Scott Photography.

  • Cost Structure: The total cost includes the session fee plus an additional 25%. This total is then split equally among the parties. If there were two parties for example, the base session fee is $3000 for a full day shoot, and the total fee becomes $3000 + $750 (25%) = $3750. Split between two parties, each party would pay $1875.

  • Full Access to Final Gallery: All parties receive the full final gallery.

  • Booked Before the Shoot: The Cost Share arrangement must be agreed upon and paid before the shoot, this option is not available after the booking has been made.

Ideal for: Multiple agents or designers collaborating on a project and needing access to all interior photos from the session.

Licensing

With the Licensing option, one party receives all photos from the shoot, while any additional partners or vendors can select specific images to purchase and license from Rae Scott Photography.

  • Available for Real Estate, Interior Design, Rentals, etc.: Available for all types of shoots

  • Full Access for One Party: The primary agent or designer receives all photos from the session.

  • Pay Per Image for Second Party: The second party can select individual images to license, with a fee of $200 per image.

  • Paid After the Shoot: Licensing payments are made after the shoot, once the images are ready.

Ideal for: One party needing all the photos, and others who only want a few specific images from Rae Scott Photography.

Which One to Choose?

  • Cost Share: If you're collaborating with others on an interior design project and multiple parties would like the full gallery, Cost Share is the perfect option. It’s ideal when multiple parties want to split the cost of the shoot and use all the images.

  • Licensing: If only one party needs the full gallery and the others only need a few selected images, Licensing gives you flexibility. Choose the images you need, and pay for just those.

With Rae Scott Photography, both Cost Share and Licensing options provide flexibility to fit your needs and budget. Whether you need full access to all photos or just a select few, you’ll find a solution that works for your interior design photos.
